Burger King has recently issued a blank order email receipt to hundreds or millions of consumers.

The blank emails began surfacing at 12:15 AM ET, leaving Burger King consumers perplexed as to whether the firm had been compromised by a hungry hacker trying a midnight feast, or whether the emails were simply a massive whopper of a mistake.

In a state of perplexity about the blank emails, Twitter users flocked to the social network, with some receiving two Burger King emails in an apparent double whopper of a mistake. The order emails were sent from Burger King’s primary promotional marketing email account.

There’s no obvious evidence that Burger King’s security has been compromised, and we’ve contacted the firm to inquire about these strange midnight burger emails. Because many of those who got the emails did not have a Burger King account, it’s possible that a system modification went awry and blasted out blank orders to Burger King’s entire marketing database.

In any case, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear back from the home of the whopper emails.
