Skytrax, an airline and airport consultant located in the United Kingdom, ranked Korean Air as the world’s ninth best airline, and the country’s main airline, Korean Air, announced on Friday that it had received this honor.

The corporation, which was ranked 22nd the previous year, moved up 13 places this year to join the top 10 in the globe. Qatar Airways was deemed to be the best airline in the world for this year’s competition, and they were awarded the title. Singapore Airlines and Emirates came in second and third, respectively.

Each year, Skytrax analyzes 390 full-service airlines and 180 budget airlines based on criteria such as the quality of the in-flight food, seat comfort, cabin staff service, in-flight entertainment, and overall customer satisfaction with the price of the ticket.

Korean Air has recently announced plans to enhance in-flight services for the purpose of increasing customer satisfaction. For example, in order to add variety to the wine offerings, the airline will collaborate with Marc Almert, who is the world’s youngest sommelier champion. This comes as the global demand for travel is slowly returning to the level it was at before the pandemic. In order to suit to the preferences of its passengers, the airline has announced that it would provide new Korean eating alternatives, such as noodle and rice dishes made with seasonal ingredients such as acorn gelatin.
